I am a retired analytical chemist with a lifelong love of steam railways. I also am an active amateur musician, currently playing trumpet in one of my church’s bands.

I have a large collection of 00 scale British models, mainly of GWR and BR(W) types, with a focus on Mid- and South Wales, from where my Evans forebears originated. Most of these are kit-built or scratchbuilt and described in detail on RMWeb under the pen-name RosiesBoss.

I have three Hornby LS models and, living in Sydney Australia, have taught myself how to troubleshoot and maintain them, without having to send them halfway around the world to Hornby. They are a joy to drive and display at my club’s annual shows.
