I have two steam locos, the Flying Scot and the double-tender ditto. The latter has never been run because of the risk of damage as in the case of the former! With all due respect to Hornby, and to Richard Hallam, the brilliant inventor, the kit is purely electro-mechanical (like a 1950s washing-machine) in what should be an electronic age. So I greatly look forward to my ''live-drive'' add-on, the Club's greatest contribution to control of these models
