Groups Help File

The new WiX Groups system is less structured than the Forum used to be and is more akin to the way Facebook works. As part of the process of migrating information Categories and Sub-category headings have all been converted to individual groups.

This is an example of the new Groups landing page displaying six separate Groups.

The Group viewing order can be changed using the Sort by option The options are:- 

  • Recent Activity

  • A-Z

  • Member Count​

Search - The search bar is indicated by a magnifying glass icon. This only searches the Group name, not its contents

Clicking the Create Group option opens a dialogue Box to :-

​                             

  • Add an image

  • Name the Group

  • Set privacy to

  •           Public - anyone can view

  •           Private - only approved Group members

There is also an option to filter the Groups to view:-

  • All - view everything

  • My Groups - Groups you have joined

  • Suggested Groups - Auto based on activity, ​​​​

​​​​​Click on the 'Show More' button to load the next six Groups

Click to :-

  • Join   - If not a member - apply to join the Group

  • View - If a member  - load the individual Group page

This page displays details of the posts (and comments) created within each Group.

The example below relates the the 2026 Roadshow Group and two posts are visible, the Summer Meet and the  Ruddington show.

Navigate back up the Group tree

Identifies both the name of the Group and the number of members in the Group

Look for keywords within "2026 Roadshow Events" posts.

Group Page Tabs

  • Discussion   -   All posts and comments

  • Media            -   All the group’s pictures and videos

  • Files               -   All the group’s uploaded files

  • Members     -   Everyone in the group

  • About           -   General info about the group

Create a new Post or create your first post 

  •  Give the post a title and add content

  • You can also add text, images, GIFs, and videos.

Note : This will start a new, different subject under the 2016 Roadshow Events Group
