Accessing The Scheme

If you would like to submit a loco to the Service and Repair Scheme please ensure that you have read and understood the information on each of the previous pages and that you are happy with the level of work, terms, conditions and pricing before you commit to using the scheme.

Unfortunately due to the litigious nature of the market in North America and Canada restrictions imposed by our Public Liability insurers exclude these areas from inclusion in the scheme.

There are two ways to access the Service & Repair Scheme

Bring your loco along to one of the club Roadshows

 

  • We will carry out a quick assessment of the loco

  • We will explain the scheme option that we consider most relevant to your loco

  • This approach saves on the cost and hassle of providing shipping and insurance

 

Ship your loco direct to the club 

 

As the club repairs will be carried out by more than one person in the first instance please send an email to repairs@oolivesteam.com and include the following information

  • Name.

  • Address

  • Email address

  • Contact number

  • Loco description

  • Problem description

  • Loco history (if you know it)

  • You will be emailed an address to send your loco to for service or repair

 

Sender Responsibilities​

 

  • You will be responsible for the safe shipping of the loco to the address given

  • You will be responsible for providing adequate insurance

  • The loco should be securely packed to prevent damage in transit

  • For the UK the club recommend 'Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm' as this provides £500 insurance cover

 

Return Shipping​

 

Where considered suitable the loco will be returned in the same packaging it arrived in

  • If the packaging is considered unsuitable the loco will be returned using club packaging
