Our Club in the news

The Club attracted some publicity attention at the weekend's Warley show.

We were honoured to have our President Richard Hallam with us to receive an award shared jointly with Hornby Marketing Department.

Do you recognise anyone in the group of photographers? The photographer on the left?

He is youtuber Sam from 'Sam's Trains' who stayed to 'Have-a-Go' with Live Steam.

We are all on tenterhooks to see how he reports our precious OO Live Steam in his forthcoming Warley report. The other photograhers are from Hornby and modelling magazines.

This the story we released :-

Press Release

Hornby launched their technologically advanced OO Gauge Live Steam range 20 years ago to a blaze of publicity.

Sadly it didn't catch on as they got an unfair reputation for being difficult to control.

Around 14,000 were made and most are dormant today with owners who have no idea of the technological marvel they have gathering dust.

The OO Live Steam Club helps owners get them into joyful use and marked the anniversary by bringing together the original inventor and Hornby Marketing Department for a special award.
