Finally Had a go
Well I've finally had a go with my live steam Mallard. I was going to sell it as I've not got anywhere to set up a track, but I've decided to keep it and use it on a rolling road until a time when I hopefully do have somewhere to have a track.
It was good fun using it, once I'd solved a small issue. My rolling road wouldn't work with it! All our regular OO gauge locos run fine on it, but when I connected it up to the live steam controller, the controller beeped after about 10 secs and shut down. I was just about ready to put it back in it's box when I just thought I'd try it on a section of track. Worked fine when connected to the track, so I used the piece of power track for the tender, and then put the loco on the rolling road, and it all worked fine!
