Thanks for the warm welcome

It was nice a warm welcome that I had at the OOLS anual summer meeting.

Comming over from Belgium last Friday I finely picked up my Mallard set at a friend.

I bought it about Februari/March so I was glad to finely hold it in my hands.

And than there was the anual summer club meeting, that I attended last Saturday.

Ideale, to get a super initation lesson, on how to run and mentain the mallard, that I just received.

The locomotive was careful examend by Maurice Rourke and Richard Hallam.

It was a joy to be teached by these two experts.

They pointed out what must be cheuqed, oiled and taken care of.

Again gentlemen thank you very much for helping me out, it was a real honour for me.

Of course also all the other members too, who all did their best to welcome me into the group.

And specialy James family who where the hosts of this event.

And than it was time for my novice run.

The 7 minutes warm up, very exciting as the loco started to puff and tuff.

Not sure what was going to hapen, is it going to run or explode. :-)

And then it was time to run, and run she did…

I also published the story on "The Unofficial Mamod and other steam forum".

Have a look if you are intrested…

So thank you very much everyone, it was a joy and honor to attend such a very nice meeting, and I'm glad that I was so welcomed in your group.

I'm sure we meet again…

Cheers,

Danny

Hi Danny,

It was great to finally meet up!

So glad your day went to plan and you were finally reunited with all your live steam locos and spares.

You have much fun ahead getting them up to running condition.

Now some of us are back at work , the weather has cooled, and England are out of the cup,,, we can all calm down and carry on!!! Ha ha !!!
