Back in the 1980s Mr. Harald Moeller (Germany) commercially produced Gauge H0 (scale 1:87) Live Steam models in small series. Boiler heating was electric, simple models just had the speed control via the voltage for the heater and were powered with a normal transformer.

More sophisticated models were controlled by a servo motor and a special transformer/controller (see photo).

Acc. to the price list 1984 the most expensive model was a 'Baureihe 03' express loco for 2398.- Deutschmark.
