A3's Mark 1 vs Mark 2
Hello fellow OOLS lovers.
I am considering buying an A3 Scotsman and have just discovered that there were two different versions, a mark one and a mark two. I also heard that the Mark Ones had some problems that were solved with the Mark Two's.
Besides the difference with the removable chimney on the mark 2, are there any other differences? and is there any truth in that the Mark One has issues that I should be aware of or expect?

Dont forget - the first run (or 2 or 3) should be with the driving wheels lifted off the track, ideally on a Rolling Road so it cant go anywhere.
Don't go onto the open track until you've mastered the controls and even then load the loco with LOTS of coaches to act as a brake.
Print out this Errata Sheet, cut the paragraphs out and stick them onto your manual before you start.
