Model Mallard Speed Challenge
Tuesday July 3rd 2018 was the 80th anniversary of steam locomotive Mallard's record run.
To celebrate the event the OO Live Steam Club have been running a Model Mallard Speed Challenge and at the beginning of December the finals were held during the weekend of the National Festival of Railway Modelling show, at the East of England showground, Peterborough.
The challenge consisted of two parts. The Fastest Speed competition (using the club’s Roadshow layout) and a ‘Make Mallard Go Faster’ design competition.
