A New OOLS Club Initiative
OO Live Steam Club Limited Edition Salt Wagon
As is often the case these days, a ‘mascot’ appears to be a nice little touch generated by organisations and here at the OO live steam club we feel the same.
So here we present for the first time an OOLS Club wagon specifically produced for the OOLS club by British manufacturer Dapol. Dapol special commissions are limited-run model railway products, typically wagons, created for specific retailers, clubs or societies.
These collaborations result in unique liveries and, thanks to the efforts of committee member Jack Lythgoe OO Live Steam Club members can now purchase one of our very own limited edition
The wagon chosen is a British cottage roofed, salt carrying wagon popular in the early BR era, and private owner sector, with the Club OOLSC logo applied on both sides on the planked sides.

This OO Live Steam Club salt wagon has been specially commissioned by the Club and a rake of 22 wagons will be retained to create an impressive sight when used on the club Roadshow layout.

As a thank you to man who initially invented OO Live Steam the very first wagon, No 01, has been presented to the club President Richard Hallam, picture here outside the shed where it all began.

The first to see (and buy) the club limited edition wagons were club members who attended the 2025 Summer Meet where 20 wagons were dispatched to new homes.
This leaves 60 wagons available via the club shop to the membership and they will be sold via the club shop

Please Note:
The individual wagons are NOT numbered and a separate signed limited edition certificate is provided with each box
Why not add one to your mixed wagon rake or starts a small salt train.
There is currently a 10% discount for orders of 3 or more wagons made at the same time.
