Sad news the death of John Humphrys just received today.

Thank you for your message, please accept my apologies for the delay, I am just picking up your email.

As you rightly say, our Live Steam enquiries all went through to John as he was our sole repairer of Live Steam at Hornby. but I'm terribly sad to have to say that John sadly passed away last week.

Obviously this has devastated us at Hornby and I know that he had many people in the wider modelling community that he had regular contact with.

In the last few years, our ability to continue to service these locos was getting to be zero but somehow John eked out our almost negligible remaining spares and with his knowledge and expertise was able to help many people within the Live Steam community. I'm terribly sorry to have to say that, sadly now, we have to officially "call time" on our ability to help with Live Steam.

I hope that you are able to find somebody else to be able to assist
