Roadshow Reports

We received a late invitation to this event, initially introduced by Tony Whibley, 00 Live Steam Member as well as a Gauge 1 Member. He put us in touch with their events organiser Stuart Hitersay.

This was a one-day show, not something we would ordinarily do, as we have significant expense getting to and from events as well as the set up issues for one day.

However all of us thought it well worth the effort, I also think Stuart thought so as well, There were four of us for set up, Chris, Adrian, Charles and myself, this was carried out on Friday afternoon/evening.

On Saturday Richard and George joined us, making six of us in total.

We attracted quite a lot of attention and interest; I can certainly see some Gauge 1 members joining us as age catches up and 00 locos are much easier to transport around.

Understandably we did not get the normal level of activity at the help desk, so this gave us the opportunity to fettle some club locos. We also had time to look around at some stunning gauge 1 locos and rolling stock to look at, also didn’t need my strength 3 glasses to be able to see them!

This is the only picture I took, you may wonder why? I'll explain, trying to remember which wire goes where, so took the top of this one so I could be sure to solder in the correct order! Also completley forgot go take any other so if Adrian, Chris, Charles or George have any please post with a suitable caption.
