Roadshow Reports

It’s three years since we were last here and it was great to be back again. As is the case Saturday being the busiest, I did not arrive until Saturday evening, but the team told me they had been rushed off their feet. I understand Eric hardly drew breath on the technical help desk. It is interesting to note that as these locos continue to age the more intervention they require.

The organisers are great hosts and provided accommodation at a nearby Premier Inn, our preferred choice of hotel, very good value and very good beds.

We had the opportunity the meet the organisers for the Glasgow, Bristol and Fareham shows, I hope we can secure invites for 2020, they are already full for 2019, however there may be a gap at Fareham for 2019. It’s great to go to new venues or ones that we have not been to for some time. We get the chance to meet existing members that we only communicate with online and are able to put the face to post! We also get the chance to demonstrate to new faces and recruit new members.

We will have to wait another three/four years before we get invited again, shame, I’ll miss it, if not the traffic getting in and out!
