Great Central Model Rail Event 15-17 June
This was a three day event with a major difference to other events we attend. Location is the Great Central Railway, so not only was there a huge display of layouts and traders, but also the fully working railway with a steam and diesel locos working a full timetable, see pictures below.
This meant that we needed to have a roster in operation, as one needed quite some time to see everything on offer. We therefore had two hour breaks to allow for this. For one of the team this was not enough!!!!
The organisers looked after us very generously, we were accommodated at the Yew Lodge Hotel, Kegworth, all very comfortable.
It was a very busy event, lots of interest in our layout with Eric and myself being kept very busy on the technical help desk.
This was our first Soar Valley event on the Great Central, Let's hope it's not the last
