Another very good weekend for the club, also extremely encouraging that so many members came to see us and run their locos on the layout.

We were also able to acquire a number of locos for re-sale to you our members. They will be posted in the shop shortly and will be available towards the end of March, but for those that are interested:

We set up as normal on Friday afternoon, I have to say that this venue is liked by all of us who man the layout. We were located upstairs as usual, which on a cold February day is the best place to be as it is warm and no draughts! Fellow member Dave Wood came to help us on Saturday and Sunday and donated a number of front bogies, very helpful as some of the club locos have fine scale bogie wheels, which have a tendency to de-rail under fast running.

We were very busy on Saturday from the get go, a lot of people driving on the public loop and more and more members bringing along malfunctioning locos.

Chris Oakes is becoming an expert in all technical matters, as can be seen from the photo below, this is not the only hammer he has!

Adrian was at his best on the public loop, and as is his wont, drinking lots of stone cold coffee.

Nick was extremely busy with the shop, which as you know is a big help in supporting your club.

As is the norm, Sunday was quieter that Saturday, but we were still busy on all fronts.

I think we set a new record for breakdown on Sunday evening, one hour from the show closing to driving away!
