I have a good size collection of live steam locos now and have decided to construct a garden railway to accommodate live steam and dcc. I also intend to include an outer rail for gauge 1.

I am currently building the base for stage 1 which will have three track lines and some sidings. This will be mainly for dcc but I may wire for live steam also.

I plan to lay roofing felt over the concrete base. Combination of pins and adhesive to lay the track.

I am using peco code 100 track and will have droppers on each track section.

I ame still not clear on adapting points for or live steam. This phase will have points set up for dcc.

Next phase will be at higher level running on outside sides and rear of phase 1 crossing over front section.
