Could we make a batch of these?
Re-acquainted with this thanks to enforced isolation! If only someone with the skills and motivation could turn this into a batch production Aster style. I'd put £1,500 into a crowd funded project for one of these.

You could do this with small benchtop machines for around $2000, nothing special needed. as far as the skills go, you could get away with online classes or YouTube lessons, then just start making stuff like pens for learning. just make sure you study safety guidelines and follow them like scripture, lest you loose a couple digits.
