Hi Adrian,
Have a look at my earlier posts on Tornado and Golden Eagle. Details of paint used is there. Ilightly sanded the loco bodies after cleaning removing original decals. Did not undercoat as undercoat would probably react to heat. Paint was done by spray can but can easily be produced for airbrush. Decals and brass nameplates by Fox transfers.I have seamed a few times without discolorization. Will test more though. I have added kevlar tape to inside of loco body.
