my layout plan
heres a plan for my layout, it's roughly x 8 Feel free to make any suggestions.

So since i live in norway i would like to model a norwegian scenery, specifically the eastern part of norway which is dominated by rolling hills. theres lot of forestry and agriculture, so i think a logging site and a small farm is a must have. in a diffrent part of norway theres this great bridge which id really like to have a replicate of.

so lately me an my father have been digging out a well in one of the basement rooms. once the well is complete and a drainage pump has been installed to keep the room an house safe from floods, the plan is to turn the room into the new train room.
there's a couple of challenges with this room, it's not very level and there is a wood burning oven in one corner. theres also a hatch that opens up at ground level an into the garden. making a garden railway possible.
so i made a mock up in anyrail. the track height for the mainline is 131cm to 135. and will be made on shelfs. i might raise this up a little bit as this provides a gradient of 1% on the mainline. shouldn't be a problem for the live steam since the minimum radius is now 60cm opposed to the 50cm of the hornby r3. so lesser incline and bigger radius.
the b line has a inlince of 0,7% and leads to the hatch.
in the bottom righ is the oven, the oven is actully smaller but this shows how far it stick out from the walls. as you can see the benchwork goes over the oven. the will be about 30cm or more between the benchwork and oven. but good insulation will still be needed. im not to worried though as i measured the oven to produce 50celcius below the height that the benchwork will be at.
painfull to the human body but little to no effect on wood/plastic/wires etc.
the entrance door is on the left. the height of the track is ''duck underable'' but i will still make an attempt at making a swing gate.
in other words i have more or less given up on my second attempt at my first layout. not becuse it's not working. but becuse there is now a potentially better option.
