Dublo West Country.... maybe
I was thinking what other locos did Hornby Dublo make and a Dublo 'Barnstaple' locomotive looked promising - a large 4-6-2 Pacific. Still the wrong region for me, but it's what we have.....
The 4-6-0 Castle looks interesting, but is way above my current skill level, but member David is currently making a superb conversion....
A West Country body from Fleabay was purchased ....
The boiler is narrower than the Duchess, so an A3 looks likely to be the doner drive system..
A dig in the parts box found a bare chassis to sit it on. The tender style looks good to hide a standard boiler, so a tender has been purchased.... hopefully it can be made to squeeze in... 🤞

WC front and trailing bogies have arrived....
A4 tender is stripped, Proxxon milling machine is ready - just need to get a few parts together, to assemble a clamp, to hold the boiler tube down.
Acouple of Brass sheets have arrived..... so I think we're good to move on.
