Introduce Yourself

Hello All!

I'm new to this Hornby live steam forum, although I have a steam background, ie, Stanley steamers, boats, 3.5" gauge locos etc..

I have acquired some Hornby steam locos and to test them out I have just purchased a suitable rolling road, prior to finding some track, my query is this, - is the track that Hornby supplied originally for live steam any different to the 'standard' hornby track I can buy anywhere.? My second question is regarding connecting the power feed to the track via the controller output, I imagine there is a special piece of track for this, if so does anyone have a spare one / and/ or suitable track for sale please.
