My new kit

Here is my 'new' Live Steam set. I bought it off Ebay for a great price, marked as 'used'. As you can see it's mint!
I purchased this hoping to run it. I am loathe to do so with it being new. I'm new to this, as I'm currently running an 'N' gauge DCC system. I've seen all the pitfalls that original users had back in the 2000's. I had a great conversation with Adrian Campbell of OO Live Steam who gave me a lot of hints and tips. He agreed that maybe I shouldn't run this loco, as it was so new. I've been in touch with Maurice Rourke about getting a previously used engine to run. Adrian was reluctant to sell me one of his! Anyway thanks to a great site with lots of information and help.

That's an early one then Roger. I know Hornby made some improvements before production ended in 2004. Maybe someone reading this knows what got changed when. Your DVD and some water for a couple of runs will be on it's way tomorrow. Adrian
