Happy to be back.
Hallo everyone. I became a member some time before the crash but when I tried to sign in again I found I couldn't get back in so decided the easiest way was to rejoin.
My former Username was TonyW but I'm happy to continue with awinn6.
I have had my three LS locos for several years now. I bought them just after Hornby stopped production and they were being offered on line at more affordable prices.
My first loco was the Silver Link which I bought to haul my scratch built Silver Jubilee set which I had built about 20 years earlier. I was so impressed with it that I went on to buy The Flying Scotsman as well. I had only one controller at the time (bought at the same time as Silver Link) but when a friend at the local club decided he no longer wanted his Mallard set It with controller I leaped at the chance and acquired my third loco and second controller.
Since then I have done quite a bit of maintenance and repair work (particularly on Silver Link which burnt out its loco/tender plug-socket, damaging the printed circuit board) so have gained a fair bit of experience which I would be happy to share (including the circuit diagram of the loco PCB).

Hi Tony,
Welcome back.
You sent me a schematic of the circuit board some time ago and I still have it. I passed a copy to Chris who will in due course file it under Technical drawings or similar I’m sure.
