After much googling of 'Hornby Live Steam' I have found and been intruiged by this website, so decided to become a member!
I have been both a big steam locomotive and model railway fan all my life (thank you Grandad!), I have owned and still do own a fair few Hornby locomotives, including the Live Steam A4s Mallard & Silver Link.
After a number of years of having them locked away I've become very interested in getting them out again and building a permanent layout. Given this seems to be a good place for information, help and good chat about Live Steam I thought I'd get involved.
Now ive come back to it and discovered new things I've got a few things in mind like attending one of the roadshows, maybe adding to the Live Steam collection if the right model comes up plus other things.

Hi Alex,
Welcome to the club. I can admit to having had website problems with slow connection speeds. All the photos are lovely, but they take ages to download. Fortunately, I have just upgraded my home internet connection from a slow dribble (over 2 miles of twisted copper pairs to the exchange) into something more modern (fibre to the house).
Definitely worth attending a roadshow - if just to learn a lot more about the Hornby system.
