new member from Saltburn north east
hi everyone.
Myself and my father are new to live steam. we first saw the models in action at Doncaster and certainly got the bug. after the show we acquired a unused mallard set to kick us off. shortly after that we found a golden fleece set. also unused. and a very good price. and the weekend just gone we travelled to wigan to pick up a new unused scotsman. ( our fav engine)
we visited Doncaster exhibition at the start of the month and fetched the golden fleece along for the first steeming. I was greeted by mourice who is a fantastic guy and helped and gave us advice. also eric also very helpful at getting my engine running.
met up with the rest of the club on the day ( im useless with names) but I couldent of wished for a warmer welcome.
we hope to see you all again soon . we are going to start building a track lay out for it in the garage we have afew good ideas.
