Hiya, and Thanks for your help already!!!
Hi all,
I've recently managed to obtain all of my departed Dad's Hornby train sets :) One of them was a Live Steam Dwight D Eisenhower!!!
I am now a father of 2 and am enjoying building the tracks and showing the kids how it all works etc. - Obv. the live steam is a bit advanced for them right now, so I've been playing with this one! => and so far it's taken a whole load of effort and "work" - frustration - but in a good way, and now I'm fully hooked! :) => my train was not driving!!! - the wheels moved a bit, but they stiffened up with the pressure of the steam. - I saw the pistons seemed to be fighting against each other, (they both seemed to be full of steam pressure on the downward piston stroke!) - So in the end I followed a brilliant piece of advice right here! and totally sorted my issue!!! - I'm so happy :) - thanks folks! - and Hello!
I'm also excitedly anticipating a Stephenson's Rocket! - think it's a bit bigger than this oo gauge - should be arriving within a week! :)
All the best
Daniel
