Hello from Wisconsin
I'm a big fan of trains both big and small. I have HO ("OO") Marklin trains, and O-Scale ("O?") Lionel 3-rail setups at home. When I saw an auction offering a brand-new Mallard that uses live steam, well, curiosity got the best of me!
I haven't received the kit yet, and I read some comments (namely that it is best to run with some cars behind), so I ordered some Hornby Duplo tinplate carriages and a Royal Mail mail carriage to pull behind (also tinplate). Unfortunately, my knowledge of British liveries is rather poor, so only after ordering did I realize that the carriages are for the LMS and not the LNER. Fortunately no-one else here will look askance at the red carriages.

There’s always the better detailed, more convincingly coloured, Hornby teaks but they run out at least £40 each pre owned.
These are the ones”
