In need of help doesn’t run like it used too
When I got the locomotive a year ago I found that ran very well plenty of power but couldnt go in reverse. So after diagnosing and accidentally braking the regulator rod I found out that it was missing the reversing paw spring. Then I replaced the regulator rod and put in a new reversing paw spring. when I tested it out it could now go in reverse but was lacking power and was leaking steam from oil chest and cylinders. So I replaced those seals and it gained back a little bit of power but still was lacking power. Then the indicator lights and wires to the wiper board came off. So I decided to email the Hornby repair service and got the confirmation message. But it has been two weeks since I sent the email and haven’t heard from them. Any advice about what I should do as I would love to get this running again but every time I try to fix it more of it breaks.

So I removed the lights and the solder that I put on and now it works. The relay thankfully wasn’t damaged. After redoing the steam timeing she runs very well now. I’ll have to find someone who is better at soldering then me to solder the lights on. I can’t thank you guys enough for all the advice as my mallard probably wouldn’t be running without it.
