A3/4 PCB Wiper Board
Does anyone know what the function of the wiper board is and how it works, could I;
1. make one up,
2. Do I need it if converting to DCC?

The only function the wiper board has, is to give the operator some visual feedback as to the position of the steam valve. When green it means that the valve is open and when red it is closed. As in DCC your controller display will give you the servo motor's position, the board becomes redundant.
