Transformer AC to DC circuit needed
I'd like to use the Hornby LS Transformer to power some controllers for G, O gauge and DCC systems i have. they require a regulated DC input with ideally a high current. The Hornby LS Transformer outputs 17 volts AC at about 7 amps. Can anyone suggest a suitable circuit/components to facilitate this.

Thank you so much helping me in clarifying the understanding & electrics of the Transformer. The Hornby Electrical Compilance Plate on the back of the unit only refers to AC power. My error in understanding. The 4 pin plugs and cable also confused things. It would have been nice if the manufacture could have documented the the pinouts & their polartity in the manual.
