Mallard Live Steam Controller/Transformer
I recently purchased a Hornby OO Live Steam off EBay being told it had been used once. When I got it I set everything up and attempted my first steaming. However the loco did not build any pressure as the regulator was still open. I attempted to close it however I found the circuit was not getting enough voltage. I checked the voltmeter on the controller which was at 10v with the loco on the track. With the loco removed it was running 15v. Any input and the voltmeter flashes to 9v in one direction and 11v and declines in the other.
I am in Australia and have used an alternative cable and the original cable with an adaptor to no success.
