mallard slow after 2 mins.
hi,
my mallard was just serviced by hornby and I got it back 2 days ago as it was cutting out immediately and before that wouldn't move properly. they said they replaced the pcb and fixed the timing. it takes about 15 mins to heat up and there is a lot more steam than there used to be but it also takes about 9 clicks after the led goes green to get it to move. then once moving it takes a further 3-4 clicks to get it to go at a reasonable speed. however after about 2-3 minutes, it looses about half its speed and trying to make it go faster does nothing.
is there a way to fix this as it is very frustrating seeing as it was at hornby for 2 weeks.
thanks.

Before the service it used to get to temp after like 7-8 mins but then it just kept tripping so had no choice but to send it in. also i attended the london model exhibition last month and thats how i found out that hornby still did the service on live steam. while i was there one of the guys at the help table said that the screws should be tight inside to prevent problems so last night i just opened it up to check that and found that the pressure release top was almost unscrewed and the front black square next to the chimney had one of the screws a bit loose however it wont tighten almost as if it has no thread on the inside. could this be one of the causes also.
also i will call hornby later and just see what they say.
Thanks
