Flying Scotsman - help required

Hi all. I recently acquired a Flying Scotsman off eBay, sold as new. I have tried to get it going on the rolling road this morning for the first time but the best I can get out of it is a couple of wheel rotations. I am aware that locos that haven't been used for some time can be stiff but surely it should eventually move? The indicator light moves from red to green all the way back to red again and I just can't get it to go. I am noticing a fair bit of water dripping from underneath. Does anyone have any ideas? I realise I haven't given a lot to go on.

Unfortunately I am not technically minded at all so just don't have a clue where to start.

I am quite new to Live Steam. I originally acquired a Mallard set last year and didn't have too many issues getting it to work - it was a bit stiff on the first steam but thereafter worked pretty much without any real issues. I am still very much a beginner when it comes to controlling these things but I figured that it can't just be my error on this occasion, given I can get the Mallard to work but have had no joy with the Flying Scotsman.

I've steamed it twice now. I did get the wheels to move on the second steaming slightly more than on the first, but quite a bit of water started bubbling out of the pressure valve and leaking out from underneath when that happened.

Any suggestions would be very welcome! I really hope it's fixable!!!

Hi all. I have my tickets booked for the Bluebell Railway event this coming Saturday and will be bringing the loco along! Look forward to it!
