A long time in the making but I am in process of building a layout in my loft and plan to have ONE dedicated circuit for running my Live Steam Silver Link loco, together with my West Riding Limited coach stock

Questions;

What size cable bus wire would you recommend for this element?

I already have some Red and Black 2.5mm multi strand single copper wire, will this be overkill or satisfactory

I also plan to fit 1.5mm multi strand singlecable droppers to the bus at 1m centres around the circuit which is approx. 16m run

I read someplace that it is better NOT to create an actual ring with the bus wires, is this a fact?

Will existing Hornby control unit power be OK for a circuit of this length?
