Volts/Amps - fitting a meter - How?
Hi team, has anyone used one of these cheap Digital Volt/Amp meters successfully ?
If you have, would you share how you wired it in to the LS wiring ?
I feel it should go between the Transformer and Controller ? As the Polarity stays constant?
Any tips/hints would be gratefully received.

I think (if they have any decent accuracy) they could be useful .....

Hi Joe,
Photos show the internals of my LiveDrive and the rather "low tech" external battery supply.
I'm not sure how easy it is to see, but the meter has 3 main connections - red, yellow & black. The red is shared with one of the outputs on the track connector. The other track output connection has been replaced by the yellow/black wires so that all the current to/from the loco goes via the yellow/black wires through the meter. Therefore I have removed the other relay output wire (that would have connected the relay to the track connector) and replaced it with the black to the relay side and the yellow to the track connector.
I hope this makes sense.
If you look closely at the big connector on the meter, you will see it has discoloured due to the heat. That's why I have soldered the connections directly on to the meter. Seems happier now.
