Controller fault.
Hi
I am new to this and have been trying to get a loco I recently bought to run.
Last night I powered everything up. Once the steam pressure came up I opened the regulator fully and tried pushing it along a short piece of safe track (to bump start it) but nothing was doing. So I then put it into full reverse to try the same in the opposite direction and as I pushed it the green LED went out.
The controller had cut out!? The red power LED was no longer illuminated and the volt meter read 0v. The red LED on the transformer was still illuminated, just not the one on the controller.
At this point is switched everything off and left it all for about 30mins. When I returned, I found the controller would still not switch on. :-(
Has anyone had any experience of the controller not switching on..?
Does the unit have any sort of reset-able fuse..?
Which screws do I need to remove to open it up (the small Philips on the bottom or all the Torx or both)..?
Thanks in advance
Hugh

Strange...
I connected it all up again last night and the controller worked again.
I am quite pleased but confused..
I get how the regulator handle and heater control are meant to work.
I guess I tripped something (possibly by shorting the track) and it took some time to reset its self.
Ach well.
Just got my loco to worry about now.

I am going to give it one more steaming over the weekend to see if I can coax it into life. If not I will call Hornby Customer Care on Monday. (Then complain to the seller...)
Thanks
