i recently bought a power track (roco) and had the choice between analouge and dcc. the analouge one had some sort of gismo thingy that was supossed to smooth out the dc current or something like that. the dcc one is just two wires soldered to a piece of track. so the dcc was the better choice. but i still ended up replacing the wire with something that is rated for 10 amps.

in other words. go for the dcc one. but soldering directly to the track is much better and strongly recomended
