Live Steam PWM Power ?
Can anybody explain to me why Hornby used PWM for the power supply rather than a normal variable DC supply ?.

actully, i dont think it should matter. i was wondering how this would relate to my true rc idea, but then i realised that if the power supply and controller is onboard the train, then it will always travel the same distance to the locomotive. so the resistance and therefore the watts should always be the same....i think
