Magnet replaced

I have replaced the lower rotten magnet of an A4 motor by the following part:

The magnet is a bit smaller than the original. A pice of copper wire glued in the corner of the U-steel frame forces the magnet in the centre. The motor runs since some weeks without problems. This is not the best solution but better than nothing.

Hi, there is another motor out there in the Hornby range, I can't find the details at the mo, but I will keep looking. I bought one out of interest. The parts look identicle size wise, but obviously the armature would need reversing, or possibly put the old armature in the new frame? or just use the magnets??
