Filtered rain water
Hello all, I’ve recently purchased an A4 set after an LS hiatus of 10 years (used to run Golden Fleece), quick question, is it safe to use filtered rain water instead of distilled water?, I use filtered water in my 5” gauge locos, many thanks, Rob.

If you got the timing right I guess you made a nice profit on the Golden Fleece sale and if you've bought a Mallard now you could well have had a bargain - it's the most reasonably priced OOLS product (because they made so many).
Otherwise you will have found that OOLS products have incresed in value a lot over the last 5 years or so. Several BR Papyrus models sold for approaching £3000!
You were lucky to survive your foray into OOLS. So many fell at the first hurdle not realising (amongst many other things) the need to maintain good power supply. No doubt your experience with larger live steam helped.
