Hi from Belgium
Hi,
My name is Danny and I live in a place called Niel-bij-As, Belgium.
My mother language is dutch, so sorry for the writing mistales, I'll do my best
I'm an international goods train driver.
I opperate in Belgium of course, the Netherlands and Germany.
I drive diesel trains, most of the time electrical trains, and I'm a licenced steam train driver.
I use to drive our national momorial steam engine, Belgian 29013 for many years on festive occations, but unfortunatly that's come to an end.
To give you an idea:

I'm a keen collector and restorer of pre war tin toy trains and steam engines.
You'll find me at some forums under the nickname Nuvolari, after the famos Italian racedriver.
I've got a weakness for the technical side of the industrial revolution at the beginning of the 20th century.
Next to that I've got quite a collection of oo gauge Hornby and others Britisch material.
And a Huge collection of HO Märklin trains.
For 90% pre WW1 Bavairian models.
Yesterday I bought a oo gauge Hornby live steam set with the Mallard in it.
Althoug Hornby has left the steam collectors on dry soil, I'm fasinated by this system.
I often come to the UK, as I have relatives and many friends there.
I hope that one day I can attend a club meeting, and meet many members there.
That's about it.
Cheers,
Danny

Goedemorgen Danny,
Ik ben een Belgische stoomfanaat.
Albeit I am a Belgian, I currently live in Hungary, working a lot in England. I envy you as a licence steam engine driver.
Not sure when I will in Belgium. I also am a lost collector with mainly Wilesco and Mamod engines (the rest is a bit too dear to me). My locomotives are Mamod and Hornby (Rocket and now a Mallard 00).
My aim is to built my own engines but that will be for my retirement.
Cheers,
Peter (or Piet for the Belgians)
