SECONDARY SAFTEY VALVE.
Hello Nick, Have you ever had to remove and clean the BOILER SECONDARY SAFTEY VALVE. I have just experienced this valve to bubble up with pressure whilst heating. I immediately switched the transformer of and waited till she cooled down then cleaned out the PRIMARY SAFTEY VALVE, restarted and running ok. I tried removing the BOILER SECONDARY SAFTEY VALVE cap on my spare BOILER it would not budge, is there a special tool for this part as the cap tends to slip because of the minimum location with a spanner any input of help would be most grateful steve.

Hello Mike, thanks for your info on the spanner sizes. I have used a 1/8th whit open end and slightly filed out a little larger to fit. It does tend to bruise the edges but able to remove but very tight. In side the safety valve was very scaled up and seems to be one complete unit I cleaned and oiled thread. Just waiting to receive a 1BA spanner and see how the fit is steve.
