Plastic rotary valve replacement?
I recently got my first OO live steam train, an original Hornby a4 mallard, white seals and all, I cracked the valve cover open to find that everything was perfectly fine outside of the fact that the rotary valve itself is made of plastic along with the cover. I was able to get a replacement aluminum cover from the club store, but they don't seem to currently have any metal valve replacements. does anyone know if the club will be producing any replacement valves in the near future, and if they have a blueprint for said valve? If not, then I will try to take measurements from mine and draw a print in the coming weeks, though I don't know who to send it to if I'm successful. Any help would be appreciated.

That's a shame and it just goes to show that a worldwide pandemic really does have an effect all over the world.
On the good news front the club have now tasked one of our suppliers with looking at the best way to create a replacement rotary valve. As they say . . . watch this space!
