It has always been the plan to add a camber to the curved sections of the roadshow layout. It has however been delayed for quite a long time whilst we learned about the reasons behind locos failing to respond correctly to the controller inputs. The early investigations focused on trying to identify issues voltage drop with the track and wiring.

Eventually, following the addition of an additional bus wire under the layout we were finally able to rule out the track and wiring voltage drop being the cause of the problems and began to focus on the the reasons for voltage drop in the individual locos.

Because of the way the layout was constructed added a camber to the track will actually involve some major work involving the baseboard joints so will need to be completed in one of the quieter periods for the roadshow.

Richard Hallam, the club president has always wanted a bit of a camber so it will definitely be added . . . as they say 'watch this space'
