Loco use of steam oil
How should the loco use the steam oil in the chest. Should it gradually use it up over the 4 to 5 steamings ie about an hour or does it take the oil through quite quickly and the residual lubrcation last for the steamings totalling about an hour. Mine seems to take the oil quickly with some bubbling out of the chimney.

Slight misunderstanding, If you look at my entry 3 above John uses 1 DRIP every 4 to 5 runs not a drip every run as I do. When I say 0.1ml that is about a drip as syringe piston hardy moves. I will reduce oil even more making sure only one drip goes in not 2 but every run as then some oil goes in every time. I will see how I get on if too much oil it spots the top of the loco.
